Do I really need trial makeup before the wedding?
I strongly recommend that you do so that you will be 100% sure of the makeup style or look that you want to go for. Most of the time, brides-to-be coincide their trial makeup with the prenup/engagement shoot. It’s a great way to test the hair and makeup because you’ll see how it looks in photos and how it feels and looks like after a few hours of walking around.
I’ve had clients though who didn’t have trial and it turned out fine. As long as you are confident that my style of doing makeup is what you’re looking for then we won’t have a problem come wedding day.

How soon should I have the trial makeup?
You can schedule the trial 2 to 3 weeks before the wedding, when you’ve already finalized the design of your gown because it greatly influences the style of the hair. Also, if you schedule it very early, it’s very likely that you’ll eventually change your mind or you’ll still undergo changes such as weight loss, length of hair, and condition of skin, making the trial useless.

I want to have some treatments done on my face before being made up. Is that okay?
Yes, as long as you do diamond peels, facials, and other treatments 1-2 weeks before being made up.

How do I prepare before being made up?
Don’t put conditioner on your hair. Conditioner will make your hair slippery and will make styling it difficult.
Come with a clean, moisturized face. No need to put makeup on because I will remove it anyway.

My face is acidic and my makeup always turns dark after a few hours. Can you do something about it?
Inform me right away that your face is acidic so that I can put foundation that’s 1-2 shades lighter than your skin tone. It will eventually adjust and hopefully will match your skin tone.
